Suri vs. Huacaya

Suri breeders think Huacaya is :common: and "ordinary"...huacaya breeders think suri are wild and wierd!!  But together they make a truly unique specialty yarn, bringing the lightweight warmth of the huacaya with the drapey luxury of the suri together to form a product whose uses are unlimited.

The yarns we produce are from our own animals, raised lovingly and organically...sheared and cared for in as stress-free an environment as we can muster here in the Pacific Northwest!  We can name the animals that go into each yarn!  Garments made from our yarns are healthy and sustainable, made from animals that truly tread lightly on the land;  just come visit one of us and take a good look at an alpacas foot!...two toes with soft pads(like a dog).

Lopi is on its way

I have spoken with the mill.  They assure me that the Lopi yarn(dark br, lite br, and white) will be ready about christmas time.  That means store ready by mid January(we weigh, wash and label every skein).  The mill owner says that each 4 oz skein should be about 80-100 yds.....how fun.....now we can all make FAST projects that are WARM and SOFT!
